Now, Astro has created more talented comedians through a competition call Raja lawak (King of Comedy). Raja lawak is created to bring in more new talents to the entertainment industries to bring in more laughter and joy to our daily lives.
After several seasons, Astro had breed more than 30 new comedians. Some are good, some are bad, and some are hilarious.
Which brings Astro to a new season with a new format called Maharaja Lawak (Kings of Comedy). This time, contestants are from previous Raja Lawak which are noted from 1st 2nd and third place winners.
The contestants are as follows: (in no particular order)
1. Jihan, (the only female comedian in this contest)
2. Nabil (Most famous solo comedian in Raja Lawak History)
3. Jambu ( Duo, which consist of 1st season king, Yus, and another season, Taugeh)
4. Jozan ( duo, Johan and Zizan, Raja Lawak 1st season contestant and Presenter for Raja lawak season 2 until current)
5. Sepah ( Best trio in Raja Lawak)
6. Man (Recently won the Raja Lawak title)
7. R2 (another duo, recently wont 2nd in Raja lawak)
8. XN3
9.Alex (most witted comedian)
10. Wai (trio of Idlan and kumpulan kecik)
11. Amir (the youngest contestant)
